Equivalent Exchange
To use the forces of the Luminaries, you must sacrifice your humanity. Equivalent Exchange is the law that governs power in Helerion.
Leveling up involves replacing your own limbs with cosmic constructs. If you fail to provide the necessary “mana” via mined materials, the icosahedron will claim your life force as debt—your flesh decays as the cosmic charge takes over.
There is no power without cost.
